Weatherization Program

NM Energy Smart Weatherization Program

The New Mexico Energy Smart program helps New Mexicans save money on utility bills. Homeowners who qualify for the program may receive up to $6,000 in weatherization measures. The program evaluates your home and appliances to find areas that can be made more energy efficient. After improvements are made, you can expect to save money on heating and cooling your home.

There is no charge for New Mexicans who qualify for NM Energy Smart. However, funding is limited and you may be placed on a waiting list until money becomes available.

To apply for NM Energy Smart you can contact Southwestern Regional Housing at 1-855-546-4181 or click on an application below. If you meet income requirements and funds are available, the service provider will arrange a time to evaluate your home.

Click HERE for more information about the program.
