How CVE Puts DRONES to Use

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide safe and reliable power, CVE has contracted with a third-party contractor to conduct aerial inspections using drones in the Artesia area.

The purpose is to only inspect our power lines, poles, substations and related equipment for maintenance needs and potential safety issues.

The inspections enable us to identify equipment issues more efficiently, reduce service interruptions, and enhance safety for our crews and members.

Drones will only be flown over our equipment and within our rights-of-way. 

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to maintain and improve our system.
